Sterin, I found this loose-leaf in Thali's copy of Tales of the Fleet. It looks like her handwriting, and I knew you'd want it if it was. I'm sorry there isn't more. My condolences again...

    I remember
    a world made green,
    sculpted of daphwood, bizr trees,
sap rising to swaying canopy and clear skies,
    terins lifting to the air,
    the breath of the goddess
    in their wings,
    angels of the air,
    high above the chattering
    of kirts and smalls,
    tiny hearts beating,
    fleeting across the needle floor.

    Wood and wind,
    Arboria,
    I remember you.
    Do you
    remember me?

AWW wow! At first, I just read the poem, and thought: "this is pretty good!"

Then I read the little blurb that preceded the poem and I was like: "FUUUUU that's epic!"

The amount of backstory you convey in that one opening blurb combined with the contents of the poem...that's pretty darn clever of you. ;)

Thank you. I'm glad you enjoyed it. :)

FYI, I spent more time writing and re-writing the intro than the poem itself. There were longer, more elaborate versions, but I tossed them in favor of this simpler version. Sometimes less really is more.
