The Aurin, while barely sentient, provide adequate house cleaning services. Motivation is key. ^.^ *wickedgrin*

Hopefully we can make Aurin's with subtle elf-like ears and no tails. It's cool if people are into the furry look, it's just not for me.

just make a human if you want that? Aurin are animalistic. and not every race needs to be for every person.

I don't think they'd do that; you need players to recognise an Aurin at a glance and some people have already confused the Cassian woman in that spellslinger vid to be an Aurin. :p

I'm pretty sure the Aurin are not gender locked anyways, you'll see bunny boys as well.

Yeah, hell in the exiles video, one of the Aurin hisses at the screen when angry. That's pretty much a perfect animalistic action right there. Also, Aurins are characterised by the ears and tail... also plentiful cleavage in their ladies apparently.

So here was our community summary of Aurin. Apologies for the crudeness of this but hey, we're no hold barred for our community discussions.

Anyway, with all jokes aside, for my own thoughts I think the Aurin fit the game fine. Frankly I think they're more cute than hot but that suits the overall game style.

As others have said, that's doubtful. The Aurin as a race have animal traits, ears and tails mostly. If that's not for you, it's probably best to play another race. They are not elves and though there might be some superficial similarities, a fondness for nature mostly, there are also plenty of differences, such as the Aurin taking to science very well. There's no reason why they Aurin should share physical traits with elves, and while I have no problem with elves at all, I really hope Carbine don't start compromising what an Aurin are for the people who wish to play elves. And I'm almost certain they won't.

Well we don't know 100% what an Aurin can look like, so why would Carbine be compromising by offering us more options? Maybe some Aurin subspecies' don't have tails or lost em in battle or who knows.

This makes more sense, as Carbine has said they want distinct silhouettes for each race.

It's bad enough the Aurins can have such different ears, but to lose thier tails as well would make them truly bad.

I know it's fantasy, but you either have a tail or you don't. :p

Because, as InnocentCivillian said, it would take away the silhouette that is unique to Aurin and turn them into something very similar to humans. The ears and the tails have been a major part of every Aurin we've seen so far, and between all the videos, that's actually quite a few by now.

Removing the distinctive ears and tail from Aurin would be like saying "ok, how about we make a Granok, but he's smaller and instead if rock, he has something closer to regular skin." You can argue that there could be subspecies of Granok that are like that, sure, but it doesn't change the fact that it would take away the iconic feel of Granok.

Each of the races are very recognizable for what they are, and the Aurin are not elves: they are Aurin. Variation is good, but completely loosing the feel of what makes the race, well, the race, not so much.

Note in the character creation vid that there were no height sliders. Maybe they'll add them later (full-size scaling should be easier than the various facial sliders), but it might just mean that male Aurin are all tiny little bundles of fury. Which would be completely awesome!

I think diversity is key for race choices...and having a typical human, to a "bunny girl".. to a robot.. to a big giant stone guy.. is absolutely perfect to me. :) (cant wait to see the reveal of remaining races)

....and yes, I will play a "bunny girl" as my main, and I am female.

I think anyone who plays a Draken and flames Aurin players as "furries" is a hypocrite.

I'm joking - referring to the term Bookah which sounds like an alien cartoon racist term.
