.................... sorry not sure that is the right way round, or right way up even ! J/K LOL
Well, Carbine Studios is actually very fortunate to have very sparse MMOG competition in 2013. All of the big guns have fired or are firing soon: Star Wars: The Old Republic, The Secret World, Guild Wars 2, World of Warcraft's Mists of Pandaria expansion, and Rift's Storm Legion expansion. The buzz and hype around these launches either has passed or will pass within six months or so, and gamers will be ready to move on or try something else.
In 2013 it looks like we might see North American releases of ArcheAge and Blade & Soul, and possibly Neverwinter, but past that there is not too much going on that would compete in the same space as WildStar.
Basically, I would hope that Carbine Studios is ready to launch in 2013, because that is a golden window of opportunity for them. Thus, I am hoping for a Q1 2013 beta with a Q3 2013 launch. That might be highly optimistic but we shall see.
<<<< Really hoping for a game that has staying power. I agree it's a good window for Carbine to launch.
Never said we did, ours are just like warlock pets, strange, spikey and hideous.
I know this is going the way of shoe shopping so Im going to stop before I get out of my depth LOL
You forgot about The Elder Scrolls, they said the game will launch in 2013 although no official date has been released; either than that, seems to be a pretty good time for a MMO release.
I can imagine a couple of MMOs might try to get a 2013 release...
You think ArcheAge will be already in 2013?
I somehow got the impression they would stave off a western release until they have done everything else, give it a chance to succeed on the less blustering markets, before the western hate culture starts the harashment and demolish it on the forums about games after a 5 min peak
