I can prolly find something appealing in every race except aurin (my aurin would end up being some anti-aurin emo kid and we all know that's tropey and boring) ... but thinking draken, chua and deader in that order pending nonsuckitude of latter two.

Why choose one if you can have them all?
But my first one will be a male Aurin.
With a 70% propablility at least.

I'm not American and it's called taste, everyone's is different and influenced by way too many things to list.
It's just unfortunate that of the two exile humans we've heard so far, to me one sounds ridiculous and the other sounds like he's putting on a fake gruff accent.

I have yet to see someone like voice acting in games, in GW2 most of the people hated each and every character except for Rytlock...

Awesome voice acting, especially Morte and Annah... and Falls from Grace...

    (yeah GW2's did largely suck)

Which is hilarious because Rytlock's voice is one of the only ones I didn't like, and not because it sounded bad, but gosh darn Steve Blum plays all of the gruff people, wouldn't mind them switching it up a bit for once.

That said, I'm really liking the voice acting in Wildstar so far, and it appears that like most everything in the game is voice acted. AND we have actual cutscenes! Who would have thought it possible? Actual cutscenes with actual voice acting.

Dear Wildstar, please kill GW2 swiftly and put it out of it's misery, kthx.

I'm afraid that won't be the case, GW2 focus on casuals and that is exactly why I'm leaving that game, WS on the other side seems to offer hardcore stuff I love but was largely missing in GW2. I mean, it's about public more than the game itself.
Still, I hope they seriously polish animations in WS, that's... serious.

I literally cannot think of one single thing that GW2 has that Wildstar does not, and then Wildstar has a whole bunch of stuff piled on top of that too, like oh I don't know, any endgame at all? Even personal story is pretty well covered with the Path System+lore of the world. If you think about it, personal story isn't any different than the important quests in a zone in like WoW. You get the lore and etc, only difference is that it's in a quest chain rather than a personal instance (Which ironically makes you interact less with the world). There appears to be just as much casual oriented stuff if not more. I'm sure GW2 will never fully die just like GW1 because it has no sub and it is somewhat fun to level at least. But I think Wildstar will definitely put a dent in the amount of active players on GW2 servers.

@ArdentSun, agreed, if WS goes B2P then GW2 will become desert.

I will for sure go Granok pending how rad the undead race is. If the undead race is bogus then definitely Granok. I dig the whole bad-assitude of them. (Basically the polar opposite of a cutey patootie Aurin.)

I actually find the Aurin kind of repugnant, but that's largely because I'm not a fan of the style or concept regardless of the medium.

The Mechari are kind of interesting, but they'll be delegated to an alt character for me.

I'm far more interested in playing a Human/Cassian that actually looks good (as opposed to nearly every other MMO where they look all creepy and weird), followed closely by Granok, Chua, and especially (if the rumors are true) the unannounced Exile race if they live up to their potential.

The absolute bottom of the list is the Drakken. Their faces just look weird! to me. I actually like them even less than the Aurin which is saying quite a bit considering my disdain for them. :)

Aurin, probably female as my first character. After that, who knows. It's funny I've never really liked your catgirl type characters in the past, but for some reason i really like the Aurin. At the bottom of the list is probably either Draken or Mechari, but I'll withhold final judgement until I can play around in the real game.

Male Aurins look great , but majority of my friends want to play Doms. However most of the people are undecided since there are two more races to be introduced. At the moment I'll still be undecided :(

    Mechari.
They appeal to my cool logical side.
Still I'll probably just try them all.
