The Elder Scrolls has been around since 1992 - over 20 years! TESO also had a massive advertising campaign just to sign up for the beta - and get all of those likes on Facebook. In other words, they paid for those likes. I'm convinced that the worst thing that can happen to a game is for it to be over-hyped. That is the exact path TESO is on. But the bottom line, no amount of hype or marketing can make a game succeed in the way that WoW succeeded. That was solely because of quality and word of mouth. In my opinion WildStar is in much better position to have that happen than TESO is. The number of people involved now vs. the number of people playing these games a year after their release aren't really connected in any way.
