I don't think capes fit too well in Wildstar, maybe for the Dominion since they're more fancy than the Exiles, but what would exiles use? The only things i can think off would be decals, arm bands (like Mellkor said) or just allow us to have guild icons in our names.

It would be nice tho to have flags and other sort of fancy cosmetic items (that could bring buffs and what not) that you get from leveling your guild (wich should be done by doing events as a guild and not stacking people in it).

We have to think Sci-fi. Cloaks are fantasy. Maybe a patch along the arm or someplace on the armor or clothing.

Think it would be cool to have mounts with guild pain-jobs on them.

Would of liked it in blue for exiles....but that is the extent of my "mad skills".

Ooh, like a hover/projected patch would be awesome.
    Like the background Aurin's eyepiece.

I think it would be pretty cool to have all your gear decked out in guild colours.

Personally I still see capes as futuristic (look at you final fantasy). very steam punk and also fits in with the cartoon look!

I'd say ability to add symbol to your house or plot would be nice.

But for actual ingame I'd prefer a variety of options. I'd probably go with a armband or a crest on your armour.

IMO, one has to point out what is the need/use for a guild Tabard or any other guild symbol display.
I find it to be pretty cool in PvP when a guild joins and the enemy can see from afar the symbol and feel the fear installing. *evil crackle*.
In PvE it's a nice thing to show as a group in social zones or even if your guild has earned a name for itself, it'll give the char some ego-boosting while wandering near other players.
What I mean by this is that, any way that the guild symbol will be displayed, should be easily visible. A little armband or sash is nice but it's just a piece of cloth when people look at it, due to its small area.

I love the idea of the hologram, especially if it works as a "bat signal" kind of thing for a few secs after activating it.
I can imagine someone joining a PvP area and activating it, both calling their guildmate to the location and inspiring fear on its foes.

Maybe add something like a town clothes set you can wear just to avoid messing with armor looks or capes and tabards

Please don't bump really old threads, the game has changed since this thread was last active, the costume system in particular.
