I am unfortunately artistically and quite often generically mentally stunted so coming up with my own installment has been a bit on the impossible side. So...I will nominate.

I hope grumze is already in, but if he is not he should be. I remember when I first joined the community and started chatting around, he was one of the first to welcome me in and throw some silliness my way. His (Ithink :)) general demeanor and overall helpfulness was refreshing and one of the reasons I became moreinterested in Wildstar. The community and the way they interact with the devs really is different from anything else out there.

Second, Kat. She sent cookies! You can't really beat that.

The only way I can really submit for myself is to say i did something similar. i actually sent a lb of really great coffee from this small farm on the mountains of Kona to the guys at Wildstar. I admit it, I was blatantly trying to buy myself a beta key, but I was also trying to share the stuff with those guys. My head nearly exploded when I saw they had the bag and nobody had a grinder so they hadn't touched it yet. Did they not know what was in that bag?! The greatness that they had sitting in their office just waiting to be partaken! Sipped not horked now! It was pretty funny, my wife thought I was a nut bag....she is right....damn it. I just wanted in that bad...hell that bag cost more than the game but I didn't really care. The game looks awesome and the community in the beta and on this site although changing is still trying to hold to their bond. I want to get in there and group up with some of you fools and try to make the game better. I have a tech background so my idea of beta testing gets a little ...well technical. Can you see why I didn't try to write a story yet? Anyhow, that is all I got.

    Good luck to all.

10 Useful tips for surviving The Wildstar Launch.
10 : Always ensure you are well fed before logging on or have a ready supply of gamer kibble on hand
Online games can often require significant playtime investments and one often cannot afford to go get a sandwich when one is deep in enemy territory. Ensure you have a exit plan should you require to use the bathroom, 2 liter pop bottles work best and Pringles containers may be easily sealed to keep the smell inside and may be delivered to the homes of players of opposing factions.
9 : Ensure you have Cleared time to spend on Playing
It is not uncommon for reality to get in the way of a enjoyable game, to minimize the destructive influence endless hours of enjoyment will have on your personal life we recommend some of the following precautions be taken.
    1. Get the time cleared with your significant other, or include him/her in the activity. Mayhaps it’s a good idea to suggest he go spend time with the boys, or that you convince her that she needs a good 2 weeks of relaxation at a private spa.
    2. Get the time from work, contrary to popular belief, quitting your job is a big no no, diminishing your income will ultimately prevent you from getting game performance pc upgrades and eventually paying your subscription…oh yeah and food and shelter too. Fortunatly onne can probably book off time as vacation, or perhaps begin looking at a career as a network specialist, constantly running connectivity tests from remote high speed locations like cable internet junction boxes for a multitude of high speed internet providers.
    3. Ensure your children/pets are looked after, some might think 6 is too early to get into weekend survival camp, or football try outs, but think of it this way, if they start early they will have that much more time to learn more, also perhaps its time to suggest its okay for them to go camping for the month, or spend weeks at their friends house. As for pets, I recommend teaching them learn to stalk and devour prey in the local neighbor hood, be sure to remove any identifying tags from your pet should they decide that the local yappy pomerainian looks tasty.
    4. Education, If you are a student it might be high time to get a dual monitor set up so you may watch a lecture or record notes whilst playing. I also suggest making friends with your professors or initiate plans to blackmail them. Start something small by burying the local dead pets remains in his/er backyard, then should he/she warn you of your academic performance, provide a “anonymouse” tip to the Animal Protection Authority.

8 : Clear your social Calender
Once you begin playing, you’ll want to maximize your play time, to avoid visitation I recommend suggesting you’ve developed extreme allegies to start, further this by implying as a result you’ve developed awkward personality traits. Try to mix Chris Farley, Gilbert Godfrey, Jon Malkovich, Christopher Walken and A Ferret on Crystal Meth. Combining these traits will ensure that your social calender should free up rather quickly.
7 : Ensure your computer is in top form
I recommend a complete reformat, do not bother installing things unnecessary to playing wildstar, or things that might detract from your wildstar gameplay experience, I recommend also setting up series of precautions such as putting your entire gaming set up with a emergency satellite upllink with emergency power generator inside a bulletproof, floating, fireproof, lead lined cube, essentially a larger version of the fridge In Indiana Jones and the Crystal Skull. This will prevent an number of situations from interrupting gameplay, such as Global Thermo Nuclear War.
6 : Arrive Early to release day
The internet unfortunatly may experience delays due to high traffic on a retail site on launch day. I instead recommend getting a job at your local games retailer so that you can be the first to “touch” a copy in your own city and on launch day buy your copy, then go home sick…Its also possible you may want to burn down or call the police with a anonymous tip that the store is secretly selling missing pets from your neighborhood in the back room, this will no only ensure you are the first to play, but also reduce the chances of servers close to your location filling up “first” allowing you to reverse key character names such as “Jonny 5” and “Legolas” and “Pwnerer”
5 : Have a notion of how the game is played
I recommend googling “Top 10 MMORPGS” and familiarizing yourself with the best traits in these games, that way you will already know how these features work the first time you log onto Wildstar Online. I also recommend learning reading the boards that diiscuss gameplay, often players may reveal useful gameplay tips you may have never been aware of or that were not made immediately apparent in the tutorial and you should know how character advancement works.
    4 : Have a plan
As above, the boards will be a great source of information as to how gameplay works, it’s a good idea to look at threads that discuss the following keywords “Overpowered”, “Leveling”, “Bug”, “Broken”, “Quest”, “Mission”, “Grinding”, it would be great if some of those terms show no results, but be sure to read every thread that comes back form those search results, as they will drastically improve your gameplay experience.
    3 : Chat Managment
Figure out how to disable global chat, which will be full or people trying to upset and annoy others, this is just what people do, there will be random messages about “the first MMO” and how someones milkshake brings all the boys to the yard, all these things will do is strain your focus as you try and let your brain filter out the 1% actual noteworthy content in general chat.
    2: Make Friends
While General chat is off limits, looking for group and help chat are excellent tools. Never respond to a question someone asks with “google it” it comes across as rude and makes you look like an elitist tool. Instead either refrain from answering or provide a brief explanation. Help players whom look like they are in trouble, get some currency ahead and BUY items from crafters EARLY! Those new crafters on day 1 will be the highest most in demand crafters a few months later and are really people you want to be your friend, its likely a dedicated day 1 crafter has lots of ingame friends or even a guild you may want to be involved with.
    1 : Don’t play the Exiles
Between the Humans and the Aurin, its likely the Exiles will be teaming with people dreaming of running around in Daisy Dukes or wearing minimal armor while watching their characters “tail”. These people will be a hinderance when it comes time to grouping, and will often spout off some tripe about how they are a victim of dominion oppression and they gotta fight the good fight. The only good fight will be that which is being done by the Dominion, For the Dominion. End of disc

First off, I registered for twitter just to follow @Team_WildStar, @jonwiesman, @CRB_Aether, and @StephanFrost. (I'll be sure to follow the rest of the crew later.) I don't like social media that much, but I'll do it to keep up with WildStar news and follow the team.

Now for my Pay it Forward submission (link at the bottom)! Unlike most people in this thread, I lack the skills do to anything artistic such as creating songs, art, trailers/movies, or writing stories. However, I am good at analyzing games and data and creating presentations! (I also like helping devs fix/improve their games by submitting my suggestions *wink wink*)

As mentioned above, I'm not creative, but I wanted to do something that could benefit Carbine and help get the word out. So, I decided to create a Prezi (PowerPoint isn't as cool for this type of project) to showcase what games did right and wrong, and then what WildStar is doing right and what problems there maybe. I hope that this Prezi will help people realize that WildStar is improving upon the good things from the top MMOs and also correcting the problems that arose in them. (Side Theme: WildStar is the possible WoW killer?)

After creating this Prezi, I made all of my friends, family, and guildmates view it in order to get them interested in WildStar. I successfully got about 20 people excited for WildStar's release!

I hope everyone at WildStar Central and at Carbine can enjoy this Prezi and show it to their friends/family/guildmates just like I have done to get the word out.

    My Prezi: http://prezi.com/cziklyuy9anv/?utm_campaign=share&utm_medium=copy&rc=ex0share

Buhlyle and I are raising a flock of chickens miniature velociraptors, and upon hearing about this 'Nexus' place, they had a few things to say...

First they fought viciously over the lone Admit One Beta ticket:

Then they lobbied for more chicken inclusiveness in the game:

Then, when the gods were kind and finally let them come to 'Nexus', the promptly proceeded to destroy All The Things:

    [IMG][IMG]

And that is how chickens came to Nexus!

Not enough time for me to make a submission but it's probably for the best. I'll wait until open beta and/or launch. :)

To those who get in, grats and do me a favor and send in feedback like crazy! Make the game better for me and all of us MMO hungry gamers!

I guess if I'd be able to make any nominations, I'd suggest anyone making or providing proactive Wildstar media. Anyone from the podcasts, streamed online shows, skilled fan artists, website/forum hosts (including those who keep WSC a positive and informative place to discuss the game), or anyone else whose name has been out there as a prominent and positive effect on the WS community. People with this kind of drive and talent are not only likely to care more about the game's success, but have the knowledge and experience to analyze game systems at a deeper level and would make for the best candidates for beta players.

    Picture it: Carbine Studios, 2013.

Wildstar is just getting ready to launch and the office is buzzing. People are working 12, 13, 14, and 15 hour days. Cram, cram, cram--the game WILL be ready for launch. The media is gossiping with the usual "Is Wildstar the next 'WoW-Killer?'" Fans are ecstatic for the early release for the millions that pre-ordered. Dreams will be coming true on release--for both Carbine and fans around the world.

There is a plaque on the wall at Carbine Studios. Every morning before sitting down at their cubicles, Carbine employees blow a kiss at the plaque. It reads: "To Reohh, Thank You." Now before we get any further, this "Reohh" character is neither man nor god--rather, something in between: a passionate gamer. He runs a website that is filled with passionate gamers just like him, around 1900 to be exact. But there is something about Reohh that makes him special, that makes him stand out, something that makes him twinkle in the eyes of Carbine: he genuinely wants Wildstar to be the best game it can possibly be.

Ok now back to the story.

Why was this Reohh so special you ask? He dedicated hundreds of hours of his life, thousands of his words that gracefully flew off his keyboard, and millions upon millions of his neurons that fired in order to help Carbine Studios make the best game they possibly can. Without Reohh, it is unknown what Carbine Studios would have done. And there was almost a time that Carbine Studios was without Reohh. I'll have the great Reohh himself explain it (Seinfeld fans would appreciate this).

"So I started to boot up my computer. I won't lie to you boys, I was terrified! But I pressed on and as I made my way passed the email log in page a strange calm came over me. I don't know if it was divine intervention or the kinship of all living things but I tell you Jerry at that moment I was a Wildstar Beta Tester!

The forums were angry that day my friends, like an old man trying to return soup at a deli.

I got about fifty emails in and then suddenly the great invite appeared before me. I tell ya it was 10 gigabytes big if it was a byte. As if sensing my presence, it took me to a big webpage. I said, 'Easy big fella!' And then as I watched the page struggling I realized something was obstructing my connection. From where I was sitting I could see directly into the eye of the great scam!

Then from out of nowhere a huge popup tossed me like a cork and I found myself face to face with the phisher. I could barely see from all the popups crashing down upon me but I knew something was there so I reached my mouse pointer in and went to my Malwarebytes.

The forums went wild, it was like Rocky 1. We all had tears running down our faces, I never saw anything so beautiful before online. I decided to tell them I would not be a Wildstar Beta Tester."

Something changed within Carbine Studios. After they held an online contest of sorts, the finally started to see the potential in Reohh. They ACTUALLY started to believe he would be able to help them make a better game by beta testing it. It is still a mystery exactly why they chose Reohh out of all people. I once heard an Aurin came to Eric Demilt in a vision and enlightened him to invite Reohh to beta. Like I said I don't claim to know why Reohh got an invite, all the facts say is that he had to wait until after Closed Beta 3 to get an invite.

At the end of the day, Reohh somehow got a beta invite and started to test. Not play, test. Outsiders would think Carbine Studios were paying him by the amount of work he put in--he is, after all, a college student home for the summer with a top of the line computer.

He would test day in and day out; nights, weekends, holidays, you name it. He even took it as seriously as if it were a job. He would help out other testers with technical support if they needed it, provide insight on all the class and path combinations he was allowed to play. Reohh would even get together with 40 friends to kill pixel dragons in a raid instance.

Okay maybe I lied, all 40 of those people weren't his friends--but there were a few, believe me.

After weeks and weeks and weeks of testing and changes by the developers, Wildstar was looking great. Even greater than before, and, that may not have been previously thought possible. The developers at Carbine Studios decided to honor Reohh with a plaque to show their appreciation for the beta tester. Who knows, maybe Wildstar could have turned out the same without Reohh? But in this version of history--Reohh was a vital asset to the Wildstar developers and their quest for a kick-ass MMORPG. The only trouble from him was making them realize it....

I have been following Wildstar since the first time I saw "WildStar Official Trailer" a few years ago. That blew my mind (really, I had to clean the ceiling). Since then I've been waiting a chance to embark on this adventure, and like most folks, I can't wait to get into Nexus

Because i'm not a really good writer or anything else, my participation is in the form of edited video, a trailer for Wildstar, called "Meet the Exiles and Dominion" (it's so fun to see these two arguing).

    Good luck to all.

I'll be submitting an original story about my character's journey to Nexus.

"Nexus." Hazel eyes roamed over the planet's surface as the shuttle prepared to enter the atmosphere. A rough hand brushed thoughtfully over the brown, bristle-like hair that tangled thickly around chin and jaw. Heh, and they thought this was the place to "Instill a more Cassian spirit in our errant son." Glancing around the shuttle, intelligent eyes took in the other passengers bound for the raw but beautiful world that slowly spun below.

In the far corner, a pair of Cassians stood, cooing over a small bundle wrapped in the father's tattered military coat. A thin line of purple snaked out from the bundle, whip-like, before the father's hand quickly tucked it back into the folds of the coat, eyes furtively scanning the occupants of the shuttle for any indication that it had been seen. One wiry eyebrow lifted in the family's direction, but settling almost immediately into indifference. I won't be the one to report them. That takes guts, adopting an Aurin child. Can't be done in any established Cassian territory without being branded a traitor against the High Council of the Eldin. Bunch of pompous - An exasperated growl drew his attention to a fit, muscled woman sitting directly across the shuttle. The woman's standard military uniform was immaculate. Not a single button was an inch out of place, and the sigil of a ringed planet framed in a sunrise adorned her left breast.
"Better strap in, Leyth." That last word, his name, was so laden with contempt that it seemed to slowly ooze toward him as it dripped venom onto the hard, metal floor of the shuttle. "Lord Lusade would be most displeased if anything happened to you before we arrive on Nexus." Flint eyes sparked in anger as they bored into the soft, weak body across from her. Leyth laughed mirthlessly as he slipped his arms through the harness of his seat and secured the straps. "Well as much as I would love to see my father's face when he finds out his worthless son broke his neck during planet entry, I rather value my blood in its current position, inside my body."

The pilot's voice crackled over the intercom. "One minute to atmosphere , all passengers seated and secured for entry." Leyth craned his neck to see through the viewport as the shuttle began its descent. Finally. My chance for freedom. And as the ship cut through the atmosphere and the hungry ground of Nexus rushed to meet it, a smile began to grow on Leyth's face.

I'm Not much of a talker.. I normally just let my art do the talking... but here I go.

I know that many other people out there have been drawing Fanart for Wildstar... However, these have a bit more meaning to me. In fact, I draw fanart maybe once every 4 to 5 years and I do believe the last one was of Disney Princesses dressed up as Sailor Moon characters (and yes they turned out pretty hot lol :p) Anyway, I have been finding it hard to do want I love... and that is drawing. However, the character designs of both the Aurin and the Draken have been inspiring me to draw again. That says a lot for those at Carbine Studios because usually character designs in a MMO is not what draws me to the game, its mostly the games system, weapon designs, and armor designs. As luck would have it... Wildstar has those too :p

Anyway, I have been drawing a lot of Wildstar Fanart, which are mostly just doodles and sketches right now, but I will be transferring a few to the PC so I can color them like those above. :) I also wanted to say that because of my drawings, I have gathered a lot of people that are all dying to play Wildstar now. In fact, I continue to spread the word about Wildstar with each image I draw and everyday I'm on my art sites. Saying that... I really would like the chance to help test Wildstar in closed beta. I want to be immersed into a game that will not only give me the chance to draw more sexy Aurin and Draken girls but be a part of the bug smashing, typo hiding, Glitch-Busters. :D

Thanks you so much Carbine Studios for giving us all the chance to show how much we want to play your game :D,
    Star E. Knight~

Just a quick little doodle. What aspect of Wildstar I'm looking forward to the most is the paths, more specifically the Scientist. I'm a sucker for lore and general fluff and I love looking for it.

I've been keeping close track of Wildstar's production for some time now, I recently just graduated from a Games Development university course and lets be honest.. drawing is hardly my strong point. Regardless, I am super hyped for Wildstar and look forward to participating in it sometime.

Taking a look through the thread there is many absolutely stunning pieces, this community certainly has alot of very talented individuals.. I could certainly learn a thing or two here.

I've been lurking here for quite some time, but I've been leaving all the forum postings and such about our upcoming project to my buddy Unus. Anywho, we're launching a Wildstar fansite that will include news and analysis, a video submission and rating area, a guild rating system, a fan art submission and ratings area, as well as our passion, a podcast. I also enjoy doing other projects, including the one I just uploaded, a "History of MOGs." This is a satire (sort of) of Jimmy Fallon and Justin Timberlake's "History of Rap" but is all about the history of MOGs / MMOs, ending of course with our favorite upcoming game, Wildstar.

I'm a bad singer and even worse rapper, but it's all in fun, right?
