    Hey guys, Mumba here.

I sat here and thought about what perks i would find cool to see for the explorer path, since thats the one im hyped about at the momet.

And it would be cool with a ability to have reduced fall dmg (sort of like Safe Fall for rogues in WoW), or some tec thing to land more safely.
Or maybe even bring paths together so that scientists can make sort of a paracute you can land with, or make a tec thing that you can respawn at if you die from the fall. (And dont have to run as a ghost in 5 min, or however the death system will work)

Both these ideas is from my idea about taking exploring to the max lvl with super crazy jumps to get to certain places.

Enough with my rant, what things would you guys see?

    Smiling Regards
    Mumba

The more and more I think about paths the more excited I am

There are literally dozens of perks out there that we havn't even thought of I bet.

    Things I want as Settler:

A Bar provides, rested xp, increased gold gain, mid range dungeon buffs(no cooldown, not raid buff power level) and casual games just for kicks

A Casino where players gamble against each other in real gambling games for real in game gold. Make a caution side outside the casino that if you're new don't lose all your gold

and for simple yet needed things, taxi services, AH's, rare merchants selling limited items you would get off mobs or gathering profs, a Gym/Hair salon(rare access to hair styles that would be insane)

Settler has endless possibilities, obviously a casino would be very cutting edge and abuse heavy, but when we're talking about the best of the best abiltiites, proving unlocked content like this would achieve that

    Hmm.
As a scientist I would like to see my scan bot upgrade at intervals.

For instance, a lvl 1 Scientist has a basic scan bot.
Lvl 10 upgrades him into a more advanced version with arm attachment and defensive capabilities.
At max level he upgrades to a fully sized being with interchangeable components for customization and able to perfom other duties besides scanning. I'm thinking a mini-gundam.

Hmm maybe thats a bit much but that is a perk I would like to see.

For a Scientist, I'd love to see detailed info and lore on enemies I scan.

Bonuses against scanned enemies. So maybe damage boosts against an enemy type once I've scanned enough. And possibly elemental/attack type bonuses discovered as I learn their weaknesses.

A "lore book" that keeps track of all I've learned. I would love to be able to flip through a list of flora and fauna I've discovered as well as technological things.

As an explorer, I don't really care much for a perk that does things perse ... but more aesthetic. I want a whip emote, where I flick a whip like im Indiana Jones.. theres been talk of an explorer's Fedora, so I'm happy about that.

Settlers could maybe get an emote where they sing the bob-the-builder theme song, and find a big hammer that's huge and looks like the big Mario hammer, but with no combat effectiveness, just for funsies. Perhaps a Soldier gets an emote where he runs around with "Don't stop me now!" playing in a small circle around him as he slaughters monsters, I guess some big stompy combat boots would be appropriate, or a camoflauged helmet that places a cigar in their mouth, so they look all tough! Scientists could find a lab-coat for himself, and their pet (flying robot with a lab coat, too awesome), I'm not sure what kind of emote would be appropriate, but I would venture to say sifting a few vials of chemicals repeatedly with each other, and then backfiring sometimes for a small explosion, or sometimes it's a success and they drink it and rainbows follow them like Nyan cat, or fireworks come out of their ears.. who knows.

Think humor, think big! Also.. +1 for Indiana Jones, Queen, Bob the Builder, Mario, and Nyan cat all in the same post. It took some work.

I want to keep it from being way to overpowered/must-have so in keeping with that theme, I would like to see paths get:

The ability to hire a butler for your house as a settler ( other paths can get neat npcs too such as a dueling buddy for soldiers , a robotic henchmen for scientists that spurts random lore from what you've collected and a bumbling sidekick for explorers from a choice of species )

The ability to connect houses though various means ( for friends ) . A simple bridge for settlers, a small jumping course for explorers ( net included ) , a moving platform for scientists and for soldiers , a mini copter.

To tired to think of others - will think of more later.

Run, speed. for Exp would be nice. You get dazed if you are hit as you sprit so it would keep it in line, also it could not work in BG or what not to keep it out of PVP. 3 jumps :D you can dream.

Scan players for the bots, gives you like a DBZ type power level.

Oh god yes. I've heard mentions of turrets. Also from the Path Features:

    CIVIL DEFENSE:

Town guards can handle the small stuff. But when the biggest, meanest monsters on Nexus come a-knockin', you'll step up and save the day!

I can imagine this MAY mean Defense events where waves of attackers come to invade the town or something. Either way, setting up multiple town defenses would be amazing. Especially on a PvP server, lol.

Another feature I'd like to see... We already know that Settlers get rewarded for helping others Via Path XP with Campfire etc. What I'd like to see is a special Settler only Vendor in a town that levels up the more people use the facilities in the town. Obviously the items on it couldn't be game breaking since it would only be available to Settlers who have contributed to that town. Perhaps it could contain reduced priced consumables, vanity items, zone appropriate gear that isn't that different from other gear obtainable in the zone, but has a Settler flavor to it.

I would love to see something like that implemented for the scanbot, at the very least some sort of upgrades as you level, even if they are just cosmetic. Maybe even give a limited color palette for the skin.

For paths I really hope none of them can affect combat otherwise you run the risk of having a "best for Solo/Raid/PvP" in which case you just hurt players that choose wrong and want to do a different content.

We more or less know explorers can sprint longer or something and in combat getting hit you're dazed (which is apparently very bad) but, warriors we have no real info on. While this is a combat related area it does have a big drawback to using it in combat... which I can understand and sort of like. Turning path abilities in potential 'use in combat at a risk'... High Risk High Reward scenarios which develops good game play.

I hope they do add a few nifty little touches,i like the idea of say building a turret to help me kill a few mobs,or setting a trap while having an upgradeable scanbot able to tank/dps/heal adds something as well.
These little things would be amazing little extras for the paths,i dont see any harm in allowing these kinda things in the open world or if solo but not in a group enviroment.

This way you can still get all kinds of decent bonuses and extras but in no-way would it affect the min-maxer's out there who would feel they needed to follow a set path.

Slight height jump and speed movement bonus for explorers.

Slightly resource collection speed or crit bonus (more items collect per node) or less chance of a monster for scientists. Say a soothing collection bonus that keeps the monsters asleep while collecting resource node.

Slight increase buff for damage/crit strike chance/health bonus for soldiers.

General all around stat/resist/toughness protection buff to all attacks for settler that can be shared with a raid group.

Personally, my human would be happy to settle for the gentleman on the right and a couple of his dashing friends.

But if I can't have that, my scientist would like specialized seeds to grow in her garden, which if analyzed properly, could produce unique dyes or cooking ingredients. I'd kind of like to see the bonuses include a lot of non-combat fluff, which is easier to balance and feels more unique than getting a buff here and a protection bonus there.

Wildstar could never go wrong with adding more non-combat fluff. And getting unique dyes/ingredients would be another nifty aspect for my scientist.

As I want to go Stalker Explorer I'd say:

+50% movement speed, 5x jumping height, quadruple jump aaaaaand the ability to stealth mid air.

    Yup... not... OP... at... all

Would be fun in PvP X-D

In all seriousness I think the paths are gonna be super cool and I'm pretty stoked.

Really interested to see how we mix and match it all together to build our, well, builds. I'm hoping for a tonne of viable variety :)
