Yes, Wolf, I already know that, but I can't see how it relates to what you're saying.
I think I saw it in an old collection of pics, (digs through box-o-pics) think original description talked about the device helping scientists analyze dangerous situations.
Does my girlfriend count ?! cause she really plays mmo like I play Wii U -_-' meaning MMO speakin she is worth jack <REDACTED> as stiffler would say. (Thank god she isn't on this forum otherwise I am done for)
Seriously I don't like pet in games they always die...so you never think "maybe I should treat him differently and stop sending him far away to get killed by lvl 12 monster when he just dinged lvl 6 ... ><'
now passive pets are just useless imo you like them until you get a new one ( CRAZY CONSUMING FOCUSED SOCIETY, STOP WITH THE SPENDING !!!) ... Now where did I hear that um....
Do you think -assuming there are pets- the scientist will get a pet beside the floating-analyzing-bot?
........but dont ever call her a pet Im with you bud. Devs could do a ton more with pets, additional inventory slots (like ma dog 'rusty' in Fallen Earth) always are a help. Maybe resource gatherers could get a bonus from a truffle pig or a bot that tracks minerals (Ahhh SWG days ).
Theyre really under developed so far in MMO's, could be reduced prices from NPC traders if you have a cute kitty like pet, a bird type pet could provide a bonus to the minimap range with eagle eyes? at the very least the pet with you at the time of encounter should sometimes have an effect on the animals encountered. Eg: you have 'Betsy' the wild bee as a companion - when travelling through Buzzbang territory you have a less % chance of aggro from the wildlife, or increased % of meat/hide gathered from them cause of your high knowledge of your similar pet. For a hunter/gatherer this could open up a whole ingame experience, .......although I can see my house would look like a darned zoo !
I liked SWG's skill trees for beastmaster, maybe someone could go a step further and have mini skill trees for your pet - externally to us its a whole load of choices, internally its just a few more numbers in the database to change the stats.
DEVS TAKE NOTE
End of the day, diversity of pets would give additional emotional investment to players. Emotional investment = long term players = better community = more chance of those addicted to buy stuff in the in game store = job security for Devs for new content = more content for us = happy happy people.
Absolutely I think the bot is just an extension of the character, scientists should get the opportunity for pets too. Certainly if the mechanic is included in the game there wouldnt be any reason not to. Just maybe only one out at a time, otherwise its gets a little laggy for the graphics in highly populated areas. Back in SWG days pet vs pet battles were a regular sighting in most of the cities, especially if there was a crowd.
Hmm, let's hope.
I'm also hoping that if there is a beast master, other classes could still have pets.
LOL! All I can picture now is a robo-goat chewing a hole in the side of a metal house or eating the wing off a ship.
Except thanks to those kind Sony folks it wont be called Beastmaster or make pets from DNA (thanks to their overzealous copyrighting of anything in their games) but I get what you mean.
Master of Genetics (Fixed) using Macromicrobe Modification Technique (MMT) sorted ! NEVER forgive the S people !
They are a bit absurd about such, aren't they
Earlier drawings but interesting
I forgot about that, a few of us were just talking about the Beast Master in SWG the other day.
i recently grown fond of qauggans. wouldint mind one of my own.
OK with the Quaggan reference, youre making me admit that I would like Glitterhoof my trusty unicorn too
This is my minipet. There are many like it, but this one is mine.
Is that on the new ban list?
