If you dont want to make progress in your gameplay, why should the game reward you for it?
Its not like this type of games have features that you cant learn if you just think what you are trying to do and how you should to do it... Games by nature are meant to test you.

If you want static entertainment that you dont need to be a part of, watch tv and movies.

Wut. If there was no benefit to leadership there would be no leadership. If anything your stance is the exact opposite as they have taken all of the need for leadership away.

Wait, Communism is "fair" now? Really?

That's how you make a grindfest MMO with no point, would be dead within months.

Why would high skill players want to play a game where any low skill player, casual or bot could get the exact same gear?

Why would low skill or casual players want to play a game where the easiest way for them to get similar gear is to grind the same content over and over?

It shouldn't, but the direction you might like to progress might be different than the direction another player might want to progress. Raiding should not be the endgoal of progress for every PvE player. Some players want to "work towards" mastering raiding, but many don't care to do so at all, that doesn't mean that they shouldn't get access to the best PvE armor or to an armor appearance that they might like.

I'm just telling you how it is. In a traditional raid, no participant gets anything more than any others, unless they're skimming off the top somehow. There is no separate loot table for organizing and leading a 40-man raid, there is just a loot table for showing up.

When did Communism come into this? Are you a red?

    Fun?

I don't know, if they aren't enjoying the game then it wouldn't be any great shame that they wouldn't play it. Better to lose those players than to lose everyone else, but ideally the game would be fun enough that it wasn't just a grindfest to gear cap.

I honestly don't know, that's why raiding has never appealed to me.

"Like it is"? Seriously? You do realize that there are other rewards and other types of feedback than what the game itself delivers right? That this, and the genre in general, is not a single player game?

It entered into this as soon as you started attempting to equate everyone getting the same thing regardless of effort or skill as being "fair". And stop trying to hide it behind "within reason" either, as from your other posts that is clearly not the case. Or have you forgotten already the disaster that you want to turn crafting into? Or the numerous mostly retarded denials on how Gw2 does everything perfectly ever.

<Mod Monocle> Honestly, this thread has run its course, starting to go seriously tipsy-turvy and has nothing further to ultimately contribute other than circular arguments between limited individuals. Locked. </Mod Monocle>
